Daniella
Life with Daniella is wonderful, but very challenging. She's sweet, silly, playful, intelligent, beautiful, and adorable. She also has big feelings and can get frustrated quickly, leading to meltdowns at times varying in severity. She's 2 and a half and doesn't say any words or do simple toddler things like choosing her clothes or use utensils while eating. By far the hardest part of life with Daniella, for us as her parents, is the lack of sleep. I would say roughly 30% of the time she has a "good" night of sleep (10pm-6am for example). Some nights she will wake up after 1 or 2 hours of sleep and be up all night, She climbs everything constantly and has no fear of heights. She can also need to be picked up and held for large portions of the day, which can make doing anything else nearly impossible, which has led to falling behind on basic household chores. She also has multiple appointments per week, which is a chore in itself, but we have seen positive changes and improvements in her communication and learning. With the help of Early Intervention, Occupational and Speech therapies, we have been able to expand how we communicate and play with her. While the future for us is unknown, we are determined to find a way to make Daniella's life the best possible. We want her to thrive and be as independent as possible. We hope she will learn to speak one day, possibly even read or write, but we are just happy when she's happy and healthy
