Evelyn
Evelyn is a sweet, caring six-year-old with the kindest heart. From the time she was an infant, we had a feeling that something was a little different. She experienced delays in reaching all of her developmental milestones, and when she was around two years old, we began the journey of searching for answers.
In March 2026, Evelyn experienced her first seizure. Following a referral from her neurologist for genetic testing, we finally received a diagnosis of a DLG4 deletion. While the path to diagnosis wasn't easy, it gave us a better understanding of Evelyn and the support she needs.
Despite the challenges she faces, Evelyn is incredibly loving and compassionate. She adores her little brother and loves spending time with her cousins. Some of her favorite things include listening to stories, cuddling with her family, and caring for her baby dolls. Those who know her best often describe her as a "loving mother hen" because she is always looking out for others with kindness and care. She brings so much love and light to everyone around her, and we are so proud of the amazing little girl she is becoming.
