Donating blood for research is an incredibly valuable contribution to advancing rare disease science. If you are willing and able to participate, this may also provide an opportunity to learn more about your child’s specific genetic variants. While the foundation cannot guarantee that your child’s sample will be used in a research project, having samples available in our biorepository is essential—researchers can only request and study samples that are already collected and accessible.
