Introducing Myles

Myles was diagnosed with SHINE syndrome just after he turned 2 years old. He wasn’t reaching milestones like his peers due to his hypotonia. The diagnosis brought us a mix of relief and heartbreak- it was comforting to have answers but the reality of the diagnosis was overwhelming. Myles is very social and well mannered (except when he’s being a stubborn 3 year old now). He enjoys going to his physical, occupation, and speech therapies , and those therapies have done wonders for him over the past year. We are so proud of how far Myles has come since his diagnosis, and we are going to continue to fight for treatments. As Myles refuses to give up on everything he does, we refuse to give up on the possibilities that lie ahead.
